Adam's Day in bed and Pam, Chloe, and Eli's day on the town

Adam was/is feeling sick today and tonight so I (Pam) am writing our blog! Today Adam got us all out of bed at the crack of dawn, and we all had breakfast together. Soon after, Adam left to go to our apartment and get some rest as he felt very ill (fever, chills, etc.).
Chloe (our friend that is traveling with us) and I decided in Adam's absence, we should do the only logical thing, go shopping!!! We grabbed Eli and started our day. Before we started off for our shopping trip, we took Eli to the playground. Since it is so humid outside, the picture is quite foggy, but you get the general idea below.

Once play time at the playground was done, we hightailed it over to a taxi in the pouring and thundering rain. The concierge told us of two indoor malls. We had fun shopping for souvenirs, and Eli picked out a very nice guitar for himself (plastic of course) and a rattle for baby sister. The malls we went to were Vincom Tower and Trang Tien Plaza. When we felt completely exhausted we came back to the hotel. We had no concept of time but guessed it was about 2:30pm. Surprise, it was only 11:30am. The heat made us so tired so quickly. We were shocked it was so early. I passed out until 2:30pm while Chloe passed the time with Eli watching, guess who, The Wiggles! At 2:30 pm we went downstairs for lunch and ran into our new friend, Hope (she has a son Eli's age and a new baby, Milo a few months younger than Lilly). Eli enjoyed watching pool while we gossiped with Hope. Hope invited us back to her apartment where Eli had a fabulous play date with Ezra and tried sharing with Ezra's younger brother, Milo. Eli also discovered my camera. He took the shot of Seth holding baby Milo below, and there are also a few shots I took.

The pictures above are Eli smiling and having a grand old time, Eli's attempt at photojournalism with a photo of Seth and Milo, Hope and Milo, and a distant picture of Eli and Ezra kicking a spider-man punching doll. Hope, Seth, Ezra, and Milo all live in Mahopac and have met my sister, Kathy at Gladney events. They are very nice and very helpful. Hope kindly offered to lend me some toys for Eli, and I was thrilled to accept. Next, Eli and I went down for a swim, and Chloe returned to the apartment to do laundry and rest. Guess who we found out the pool? Ezra and his Manny (that is not a misspelling), Paulo, (pronounced Powlo, and I am sure I have misspelled his name). We swam until Eli was worn out, and then we came back to the room. Eli passed out completely, and Chloe and I decided it was girls night out for sushi. We had a fun time bonding over our eel and tuna and exotic Hanoi drinks. The name of the restaurant was The Sushi Tokyo - Hanoi -, and the service was very good and the food was fresh.

Before we left for dinner, we snapped a few shots of Eli, completely passed out from exhaustion (sooo cute). I guess the pool really works in lieu of a night time story. He passed out in a chair (begging for The Wiggles), and we had to transfer him to bed.

After we returned to the apartment (our home away from home), Chloe helped me pack, and Adam woke up long enough to hand me his clothes. Adam and I are off to Danang and Tam Ky tomorrow to finally meet and adopt baby Lilly Tai Isabelle Brown!!!! Eli will stay behind with Chloe as the trip will be taxing, and he could not take Maleria pills so it is not safe for him to travel to Danang and Tam Ky. If your reading our blog religously, please hold for a few days as we will not have access to our computer. By the way, Adam is feeling ok so no worries, R and R were needed.
