Chloe, Pam (me), and Lilly have a shopping date

While Adam took Eli to the playground and playroom, the girls went SHOPPING! We were on a mission to find custom-made traditional Vietnamese outfits called Ao Dai. We reached success at very reasonable prices, and we ordered a dress for Pam (me), and Ao Dais all around for Dani, Ally, Gracie, and of course Lilly. We squeezed into a cyclo or in the US it is known as a petty cab. The cyclist was a very old man who seemed to have difficulties. We felt so sorry for him as he huffed and puffed. We agreed on a price for three hours, 45,000 dong or the equivalent of $3. I knew in advance we would pay him more than the agreed on price. For the most part, we walked and shopped and he followed us around which was a great relief to our cyclist. We went to Highlands Coffee for a leisurely lunch. When we came out, our cyclist was no where to be found. Some of his friends helped us find our cyclist, and although they spoke no English, they communicated to us with sign language that we were killing him. They all seemed amused. We wound up paying the kind driver 200,000 dong, the equivalent of about $13. This is like giving a $10 tip on a $3 fair. The driver was pleased to say the least. When we got to our apartment, I quickly informed Adam that I may be responsible for killing a man. I relayed the funny story. I felt a sense of accomplishment as we purchased some of the gifts on our lists. I was also looking forward to going to dinner with Adam and Lilly while Chloe watched movies at the apartment with Eli. After some deliberation, Adam and I settled Restaurant Bobbi Chin. The cuisine was gourment California with an Asian flare. It was not Vietnamese per say. The setting was beautiful, and in New York the meal may have cost $300. It was our most expensive meal in Vietnam at a whopping $63 (which is really very high for Vietnam).
